Someone in the community needs help

Are you worried that someone in your community or place of worship has addiction issues, whether that be drugs, alcohol or both? Have you noticed a change in behaviour or attitude? Maybe they’re becoming more withdrawn, have started attending their local place of worship on an irregular basis or simply seem ‘out of sorts’? They may have reached out to you at some point for help and advice.

We are used to working with people from all walks of life, and our bespoke, tailored advice, programmes and support are culturally sensitive and available to everyone. We know first hand that addiction can affect anyone. It might be difficult to discuss these issues in your culture or religion, and it can be hard to know how to help someone in the right way. But it’s vital that if you’re worried about someone, you seek advice from us.

KIKIT helps the most vulnerable in the community regardless of their colour, religion, race or culture

We work with individuals, families and community leaders like yourselves in order to tackle addiction and vulnerabilities, and we can provide you with the right advice, and support. We can even come down to your place of worship or community centre with our ‘drugs awareness’ display which highlights the harmful effects all readily-available drugs have on the user.

We have found that this is a very effective way of getting young people to open up and discuss their concerns in a non-judgmental, informal environment. Given how taboo addiction is within our communities, this is the ideal way to start breaking down the barriers to seeking help.

What stops women asking for help?

We’re happy to talk to you, about how we can help, so either drop us an email, come and see us at the office or pick up the phone. Together we can tackle this in our community. We look forward to hearing from you.
